Automated Status Updaters

Hello all. Today I want to talk to you about automatic status updaters. For those of you who don’t know what they are hoot suite is one of them. If any of you are a part of any groups and you notice people updating back to back and you see on the bottom via hoot suite for example it is automated.

Why am I talking about this?
I’m talking about this because I have been a part of groups where people do this way too much. As you all know I share opportunities a lot. However, I chose to do them myself because it is more personable. I want you all to know that I am a real person and I do care about what I offer. I don’t just want to earn money from others. Once again this page is for FREE opportunities. Some I can earn from them but most I don’t .

Using automated updaters such as hoot suite allows you to create a message(s) for a day or months at a time and you press go and it does it continuously without you having to do anything more. I have used it before but found that I felt disconnected for the people who wanted to know about what I was offering. Meaning if I didn’t check often people would message me and I wouldn’t even know.

Do I think it is wrong to use automated updaters? Absolutely not. They can be great especially for those who have a more traditional job and also a side business. Yet, you have to make a balance with it. I even suggest you using one if you would like to share your opportunities, business, etc with others.

Has she lost her mind?

No I haven’t lost my mind. I’m just trying to tell you guys about another great company that I do work for at home. Its called Market Force.

Market Force is one of the leading companies that has clients all over the United States. They allow everyday people like you and I to do Mystery Shopping and Merchandising.

What Is Mystery Shopping?
Mystery Shopping is where you go into a store, gas station, bank , movie theatre etc as a regular customer to perform certain tasks that a company may request. This is done in secret to find out if the facility is operating according to the rules of that said company. I have done so many good shops as we call them. I can’t say the names of the shops since its a breach of contract issue. In any case, they company with pay you to go in an investigate for them. If you complete the required task than you are paid. I get get paid directly to my paypal account. The great thing about it is you pick and chose what shops work best for you. If want to do them great if not nothing lost.

What Is Merchandising?
How many of you go into a store and see the shelves stocked with food and drink etc? How about price tags and or item descriptions on shelves. Well the stock boy/girl didn’t do all that on their own. A person called a Merchandiser does that also. Say for example Nabisco needs a person to go in and check that the store has the prices right on their product and that they have all the stock out that should be there. The merchandiser goes in check prices and change them if need be and works with the store personnel to make sure they are following the companies protocol on items being sold. It’s just that simple.

As a mystery shopper and merchandiser you have to be sure to follow the steps given to you or your shop will be invalid. Its definitely a lot of fun and it can add a good amount to your wallet. LET’S BE TEACHERS….

It’s one thing to make money “off” of someone. It’s another thing to teach them how to make money and in return be rewarded for your efforts.

I see so often where people talk about making money off of others. In the business world it can be hard to get people to understand that our main goal should be to help others. Yes we do want to make money. However, it’s not always about the money. This can be said with pure confidence since I have helped many people and not made one cent “off” them. Not saying that every situation should be a cause to help someone and not be rewarded for your efforts. There is great value to what we have to offer. How we are rewarded can come in different ways. We should be prepared that it may not be with money. I say this because sometimes the person you help may have gotten into a business with someone else who will not help them. Yet, they are “getting paid off that person.” There’s a saying that goes give a man a fish he will eat for one day. Teach him how to fish and he will eat for a lifetime. There is a big difference. We want to teach people as we get them involved in different ventures. We don’t want them to start something then have no clue 5 minutes later what they just did. Yes I understand some people takes longer to grasp on but it’s doable. Let’s not be concerned that if you teach them what you know you will miss out on making more. Nope in most cases if you teach them right you will be rewarded.

In my journey to help others find ways to make a decent income from home I have been rewarded. Many times in just knowing someone was helped to do what I do and it didn’t break the bank. I’m a stay at home mother. There is a stable stream of income into our house hold. Many people don’t have that luxury. With that being said it is my goal to be sure to offer them a way to earn more money outside of what they already earn without it having to take more and more money just to earn anything. When someone trusts us enough to be a part of what we are offering don’t take it for granted. There are millions of ventures they could have chosen but they chose us. When they do this we should have a system in place to teach them to do what we do. Most ventures do work its just the focus of teaching people how it works is off.

I want all of us to succeed in whatever ever we do. Just remember that if someone trusts us enough to join us in our venture be sure to teach them how to make it work. Some people will be willing to do what we do but some won’t. We can’t be the judge of that. Don’t be afraid to cut ties either if needed. Sometimes, no matter how much impart into someone there will always be a reason why “it don’t work.” We can do this!!

How Start your own business….DBA’s (business names) EIN and FEIN, and being self employed

What is in a business name?
When it come to business names it is important that you chose a name that is unique to you as a business. Your business name gives a identity to your company so to speak. In the state of Michigan we can not legally use a name that someone else uses and have filed with the state to use. What this means is you must chose a business name that does not confuse you for another business. We file what is called a DBA(Certificate of Assumed Name). This is important because when you are doing real business most companies want to see a business name and not a personal name unless is it something like Latreasa LLC which the LLC stand for limited liability company. It let people know that my business is a limited liability company. No you can’t just add LLC on the end either because once again you must file to be a LLC if that is the type of company you want to be.

Since I’m a sole proprietor I filed my business as such. I went down to our local Department of Administration and filed my business name and paid the fee associated with filing. They stamped it with the Michigan seal and returned a copy to me to have on file. Now that name cannot be used legally unless I fail to renew the name when it’s time for renewal. Anyone can research my business name and the will see who filed the name and what type of business I am. In my case it will be listed as Sole Proprietor.

EIN and FEIN
When it comes to these two they are the same thing. They are used interchangeably. It is needed to do business so the IRS and the The Deparment of Treasury can recognize you. When we pay personal income taxes we use our social security numbers (ssn) or a individual identification number( itin) most US citizens have a SSN. You receive a ITIN if you do not qualify to receive a SSN. When we do business we use a EIN which is just a tax identification number by which your business is recognized.

What does EIN have to do with anything?
This is important information because when I started out some years ago I didn’t realize that I did not have to use my SSN to do business. The IRS will issue you a number which you can use to do business transactions. The EIN is called a employer identification number which you can apply for online for free and you will get it instantly. Don’t feel like you don’t need one because you don’t have employees. You do because you do NOT want to be giving out your SSN to everyone you do business with. So it is important to get a EIN.

Another great thing about getting the EIN is that you can use the same EIN for all your businesses unless you change the ownership or structure of your business. You can visit http://www.irs.gov/business to find out more info about how EIN’s work.

It is good to do affiliate marketing because it offers you the opportunity to work from your home. No it doesn’t offer you a chance to “GET RICH QUICK” but it does offer a good income if done right. You will have to put in some work. However, there is tons of information that can help you get there in good timing.

You shouldn’t do affiliate marketing if :
1. You’re afraid of failure & see obstacles as a road block instead of a challenge.
2. You rather scan through information than read it.
3. You’re terrified of learning new things.
4. You can’t follow directions.
5. You have a fear of computers or technology.
6. You’re desperate for quick money and aren’t able to pay your bills at the moment.
7. Working to make a company rich for the next 10 years & getting a pat on the back and /or receiving a “bonus” at the end sounds like a good way to spend the rest of your life.
8. You have the complete confidence that a company will always pay you what your worth & don’t mind that they dictate when you can spend time with your family.
9. You’ve planned a date or time frame for success.
10. You have a negative mindset and use the words “can’t”, “maybe” or “try” a lot.
